Did you know what happened today? Mr. Tortoise came to our town in search of a wife.
Mr. Tortoise is native of Mbagaja village. He is known all over our town for his cunning and slothful character. To some people, he is famous; to others, he is notorious. He has done many marvellous things with his cleverness. He has even cleverly won the first prize in a marathon race in which Mr.Dog, Mr.Hare and others participated.
Mr.Tortoise has been coming to the stream in our village to fetch some water. We did not know he was wooing a beautiful girl who also goes there to fetch water too.
Mr. Tortoise arrived in our village with some of his people. They went straight to the house of chief Oringaoko, just trailing chief Oringaoko's daughter who was coming from the stream. People stretched their neck to see Mr.Tortoise passing. He's a short, haggard-looking man.
After exchanging greetings with Mr.Oringaoko, Mr.Tortoise said: "Sir, I came to announce to you that I would like to marry your daughter. She has agreed to my proposal but said I must seek your consent"
Mr. Oringa does not like this sluggish man as son-in-law. So he thought of a way to refuse, a way to express his disapproval. "Yes," he said,"You may marry my daughter but on two conditions only."
"What are they?" proudly asked Mr.Tortoise. He was confident of fulfilling any condition Mr.Oringa may give. "After all," he whispered to his companions, "I'm a 'wise' man not for nothing."
"You'll bring me a basket of water, filled to the brim, and a long bundle of dust neatly tied up with a strong string,"Mr. Oringa said, puffing out smoke from his snuff. He felt sure of the efficacy of his demands.
"Hun! This man's got me," said Tortoise. Turning to his companions and other people who had gathered to look at him, he added,"How on earth can one tie up a bundle of dust? Have you ever heard such a thing, people?"
Mr.Oringa glared at him.
Mr.Tortoise thought for a while.
"Okay! okay!," he said, "I'll bring you three baskets of water and three bundles of dust well tied up if you'll make the string for me from the smoke of your tobacco pipe."
Oringa and Tortoise stood gazing at each other. They refused to compromise.
In the end, Mr.Tortoise had no choice but to return home without a wife. "No problem," he said to his people, "I'll find myself a wife yet. After all, there are plenty of more fish in the sea."
Where two tortoises transact, there's usually no profit.
* * * * *
At home, Mr. Tort continued his routine living. After a week, he heard that the king of the lizards had announced that he will marry his two nubile daughters to any man who could tell him their names. Grown up in the royal palace, the two girls' names were unknown to outsiders. Many a man had attempted and were still attempting to tell the names.
The Tortoise thought for a while. Then he travelled to the land of the red-necked lizards to survey the king's palace. There, he observed that the king's children often came out to play in the shade of a mango tree by the palace wall.
"Were there fruits on the tree, I'd pluck and pledge it to them and ask them to tell me their names," he said to himself.
He went to the market and bought two partially ripe mangoes. Early every morning he would crawl up the mango tree, sit in the branches and watched the king's children. On the third day, the two marriage-able sisters came out together to play under the mango tree. When one of them pranced to a side of the shade, Mr.Tort threw one ripe mango at her. "Karanda! Karanda! Come and see!," she called to her sister as she moved to pick the fruit. Immediately, Mr.Tort threw the other fruit at the other girl. Kirindi! Kirindi! Here is another! This one is for me!" the girl shouted.
That night, Mr. Tort went, in his best clothes, to the gate guard and said: "I have come to tell the king the names of his nubile daughters". ...
The guard took him to the palace chief of staff. "This stranger had come to marry the king's daughters," he stated.
The palace staff chief introduced Mr. Tort to the king.
Because Mr. Tort did not understand the language of the lizards, the palace chief had to serve as an interpreter...
After all, thinking that it was his chief of staff who stated his children's names, the king said: "I am happy. I shall give my daughters in marriage to my most honourable Chief of Staff. He's the only one who found out and told me my daughters' names."
He wedded the girls to his chief of staff.
Mr. Tort went home, disappointed, angry...He began to think how to retrieve his rightful prize from the chief of palace staff...

FUNDAMENTS OF ANIMAL ORGANICITY
How wonderfully the cell functions! The cell is the "elementary individual living matter", the fundamental functional unit.
But inside the cell, there are many fundamental sub-units. In fact, the cell is hosting more than a billion distinct, differentiated, biotic molecules. Most of these are constructed o amino acids, which themselves are segregated and assembled according to the ribo-nucleic language of the cell. The information for the aliveness of the cell are embedded in the nucleic acid molecules. Nucleic acids are the foundational animate molecules. They are in the nucleus of the cell.
There are hundreds of kinds of amino acids in nature; such as Valine, Tyrosine, Lysine, Phenylalanine et cetera. About twenty kinds are used in building the proteins of the body. In coupling amino acids into proteinacious organelles, tissues, organs et sequentia, te cell's nucleus uses a form of language. Like written technical or cultural language, alphabets are involved. But unlike any written or spoken language, instead of dozens or scores of letters, (ribo)nucleic alphabets consist of just four letters.DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) uses Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine and Thymine.
Similar is RNA (ribonucleic acid): Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine and Uracil. Each of these is a sub-molecule of these two categories of ribonucleic acids. Microscopically, DNA looks rather like a slightly twisted chain. There are several variants of RNA.
Proteins are the most diversified of life's molecules. The protein catalogue includes Anti-bodies (immunoglobulins); Enzymes (such as maltase, lactase, stepsin...); Hormones (such as thyroxin, testosterone, progesterone, oxytocin, insulin, adrenalin...); Messengers; Transporters; Cleaners (ubiquitins); Waste processors (proteasomes); Energy chambers (mitochondria); Structural proteins (membranes, hyalin bodies, ligaments, skeleton...) etc.
to make a specific protein, a section of the DNA is unzipped;the genetic information (specified configuration of the nucleic alphabets: adenine, cytosine, thymine guanine, uracil) is made into a type of RNA. A mobile chamber in the cell, Ribosomes, binds unto the RNA and "reads" the information it is bearing. Another RNA variant brings "raw materials" from the digested stuff that has been assimilated into the blood stream to the ribosomes. the ribosomes links the different types of amino acid molecules into protein compounds, according to the information available. A protein molecule maybe made up of more than three hundred amino-acid molecules.
There are more than a hundred thousand different kinds of protein, all composed from the about twenty kinds of amino acid, use-able in the human body.
ENZYMES
Enzymes are organic catalysts. They quicken changes in the chemistry and structure of other molecules, such as food. In fact, without enzymes, some foods usually digested in a couple of hours would take fifty years to digest.
Some enzymes disintegrate molecules; some others unite molecules: to form new molecules. An enzyme molecule can work on thousands of other molecules at same time.
ANTIBODIES
Antibodies are substances that work at destroying, "dis-arming", or blockading substances foreign or unwelcome to the body. Sometime, they destroy even familiar substances taken or mistaken for the foreign and the undesirable. Antibodies are antibiotic.
HORMONES
Hormones are executive-messengers molecules. They travel through the blood and lymph to the intended sites of action. They inhibit, impede, or stimulate activities at other parts of the body. Examples: growth, sleepiness, alertness,...
Newly minted proteins are coded to what they will be or where they will work.
Activities need energy to be carried out. The cell gets its energy from some types of molecules, mainly carbohydrates and lipids. This is done in the intra-cellular chambers called mitochondria. In prolonged absence of, or insufficiency of carbohydrates and lipids, the body purposedly de-aminates its proteins and consumes them for energy. A starving person emaciates.

GENETIC MISHAP
The function of a protein depends largely on its shape. Proteins fold and refold into complex structures.
During protein minting and folding, mistakes do sometimes occur. the genetic message is mis-presented or mis-read. Or toxins may cause a disfigurement of the message of an already correctly configured protein. The result is the minting of aberrant molecules which constitute genotoxins or prion. Some of these is caused by the kind of raw materials available from digestion, assimilation and inhalation. Examples: the presence of certain radioactive molecules and hydrocarbons causes a "shift" in the message presented from the DNA.
At times, the "mistake" is from the deficiency of the right materials rather than the presence of the wrong ones. The ribosomes copies the mistakes; and more infectious materials are synthesized.
If a cell containing mis-configured genome gets involved in meiosis (the kind of cell division that produces reproductive germs), the micro-deformities are copied and embedded in the new genome. When a reproductive cell with such genome participates in reproductive fertilization, the genome of the embryo so produced is partly disordered or diseased. This is manifested in the individual as congenital presence of certain allergies (substance intolerance) and such diseases as hemophilia, hyper-anaemia (sickle-cell sickness), phenylketonuria (phenylalanine intolerance), et cetera. These may be completely indiscernible in physique.
Genotypic mistakes manifests visibly in phenotypic defficiencies (undeveloped or underdeveloped body parts) and redundancies (extra limbs). Some gene-based diseases are peculiar to cannibals. One example is the disease kuru.
Some gene-rooted diseases are results of limited gene pool; that's, reproduction through incestuous relationship; where closely related individuals are the only available procreative mates.
There is, probably, purpose in the diversity of races and ethnicities.

Population Control: Nature's Harmless Way
At the time of creation, the most compelling responsibility given to the first couple was to multiply and then to manage their environment well. It would appear that the Creator-in-Chief did not have place for birth reduction. But he has place for birth control. We know this from the working of many things he set in the medium of nature; and from instructions received through his special messangers.
The Supreme One forbids murder in any form (manslaughter, euthanasia et seq.), excepting in the elimination of criminal souls whose presence is a deliberate danger to other people. Yet the supreme one could not be supremely loving if he wills humankind to go on multiplying and become uncomfortably populous. This would surely counter effect the endeavour to preserve or conserve the environment.
In attempts to have their way, by ignorance or by rejection of the original way, man has devised ways of curbing his population. These ways often cut across the lines drawn by the Creator, and the natural functioning of the reproductive body. The result is that "solutions" or results are themselves problems. They produce individual side effects and general environmental effects.
Most of the materials that control birth abortively, (and some that do so non-abortively) are pollutants, micro-pollutants. They deviate the natural normality of the body, thereby, dis-easing the user, even after the initial intention (pregnancy elimination) had been achieved.
With the careful study of human reproductive physiology by people through the ages, systematized by John Billings and colleagues, the Creator's programmes of birth control, which forbids murder and at the same time disallows excessive population, were rediscovered.
Billings Method of Birth control is essentially a careful co-operation with nature; working alongside natural physiologic cycles of changes in human reproductive system in achieving or avoiding pregnancy. Unlike most other methods, it has no side effects; adds nothing to, and subtracts nothing from, what there is already materially. It promotes some awareness that would otherwise be away from awareness. Nature always says the words of Socrates: "Man, know yourself."
BM of birth control joyfully gives the woman the opportunity or "project" to be a student (a scientist) of her body, especially her reproductive physiology.
The Billings method of birth control in family (named after Mr. and Mrs. John and Lynn Billings) depends on the understanding of ovulation mucus. Ovulation is the releasing of the woman's mature reproductive seed (ovum) from her egg sac into her fallopian tube, through which it enters the womb (uterus). Conception depends on ovulation.
A woman is intermittently fertile from menarche to menopause due from the intermittency of ovulation. To achieve or avoid conception, a woman (and her man) must recognize the"feelings" indicative of optimum and minimum fertility; and also those of non-fertility, during an ovulation cycle. According to Dr. Leonie McSweeney, in the book Love and Life, there are several "feelings" the normal woman perceives in the course of each ovulation cycle:
1. Menstrual stuff (menses)
2. Sticky, pappy mucus
3. Slippery and stretchy mucus (jellylike); translucent, sometimes clear
4. Dry(nothing)ness
These are indicative of different measures of "conceivability". Sexual intercourse, even genital contact without penetration, during the slippery-stretchy phase usually results in conception. In the dryness phase, it does not.
Nature in its multi-dimensional wealth and wisdom, varies this periodicity woman by woman, and from time to time, in same woman in different circumstancs (breast-feeding, ill-health, agitated or depressed mood...). So it is not an acute routine. Each cycle is unique.
A couple who want to control when and where they enact pregnancy, need to keep a faithful record of these things. They must chart the "feelings" daily throughout their reproductive age.
Often, what other astute intellectual and professional endeavours fail to do, is simply achieved through BM. childless couples have become parents by procreation; husbands-and-wives have planned and established their families orderly. Whatever promotes love and harmony promotes fidelity.
The BM co-ordinates the minds, bodies and spirituality of the procreative partners, so that the sexual act is not just a mere act, but a living of life in love, passion, harmony and faith, with respect for life and for the LifeGiver.

JOS on FIRE
Once more, megalitres of human blood was being poured away in libation to the demon that is Nigerian politics.
The elections of the chairpersons of Local Government Areas (LGA's) in Plateau State, central region of Nigeria, was declared won, all, by People's Democratic Party (PDP), on November 27, 2008. Opposition parties, especially All Nigerian People's Party (ANPP),promptly organized a protest. The protest degenerated into a heavy bloodshed.
Like almost everything Niegrian, the protest became a supremacy contest between religio-cultural, ethno-political fanatics. This time as in several others, the contest was genocidal.
On November 28, 153 people were confirmed dead. Dozens of church and mosque buildings, residential and business houses, and many vehicles were blazed down.
By afternoon Sunday, November 30, the numbers of death-sealed human casualties were approaching 400 in Jos, the capital.
For nearly a year, there were an avalanche of recentful comments about PDP's mis-governance of Nigeria. Instead of governing, PDP has been oppressing Nigerians.
The havoc reekers must have pre-armed themselves in advance of the election. The promptness of their actions, and the rapidity of employment of weapons of high sophistication bespeaks of this. The election merely served as a spark medium through which fire was put in the dry tinder. And there were unconfirmed reports that more than 1000 heaily-armed mercenary warriors were arrested by soldiers on November 29, on their way into the city of Jos.
Meanwhile, a dusk-to-dawn curfew was imposed and being extended from Jos to other parts of Plateau. And a shoot-

Obama: Popularism versus Reality
From the north to the south; the east to the west, his name was like sunshine and water. Desirable to everyone. He's celebrated, a political supernova. He's in the charitable expression of everyone, so much that I thought he was just too popular.
I celebrated Mr. Obama along with most people, but not like most people. Sure, Obama was my candidate; and he was also coming close to being my political Mahatma.
But whenever I asked: "For what is Mr. Obama popular to you?", I do not usually get realistic responses. This global Obamaism is largely a product of primordial sentiments. Good. Unconditional acceptance. But this is just one of the two faces of the coin of unconditionality. We need sentiments. But we need more than sentiments.
Some say he is the first black man to be president(-elect) in the USA. To me, this may have historical or sentimental appeal, but it is inconsequential in relation to practical realities of today. Obama's emergence may be a new dawn; it's certainly not a new day. The day had begun long before, only there was a sort of political eclipse, political sultriness from which the world was struggling to exit. Mr. Obama, an international man, became the embodiment of that exit.
This good thing is part of what I'm afraid of. Imperial capitalism often do not use popularity democratically; they seldom employ popularity for the populace. Will not greedy oil-oholics, petro'-lobbyists, bask in Obama's name and embezzle people's hope?
Although the world is now a neighbourhood, the psychologic links of common humanity between peoples have become rusty. A Marco Polo, Mungo Park, Columbus, Magellan et sequentia would less likely succeed today as he did centuries ago, even though vastly faster means of 'portation are at his disposal. Did the roads extend? No! It is the human beings along the roads who have become short (hostile). And this is what Mr. Obama is inheriting: a much less predictable international politics.
I like (love) Mr. Obama, nearly directly. But if Mr. Obama is not more careful, if he put popularity ahead of achievement, to fly on the wings of sentiments alone, his presidency will fail.
Extremely popular things often end in failure. Deutschland nazi-flagbearer, late Mr.Adolph Hitler, and the Duce of Italian fascism, Benito Mussolini, are historical examples. Although they were not democrats, they surely garnered unusual popularity before...
Very often humanity crucifies its heroes, and begins that crucifixion with super-popularity.
Besides, popularity inflates expectation.
I personally do not agree that Mr. Obama is inexperienced. He's new on the throne but not new in the world that is governed from the throne.
The need for prudence is here even before he accedes the Whitewashed House (Maison Blanche). Mr. Obama new it.

AIDS : a Fashionable Disease
Mbeki might still be correct
Some years ago, Mr. Thabo Mbeki stirred a hive hornets when he and a few (Canadian) experts openly expressed an unconventional view on the cause (or causes) of immunity deficiency in human beings. Individuals and groups, almost all, opposed his view. They railed, ranted and raved. On land, in the air, at sea: the chorus was AIDS! AIDS! "AIDS is annihilating the inhabitants of Africa." It was as if other peoples should export and transport parts of their communities to repopulate Africa.
The NGO's and the pharmaceutical companies patched up their punctured ranks. They sensationalized deaths; projected the false view that every death on the continent was from AIDS.But they did not refute Mbeki's views with facts. Rather, they hushed him. The man "soft-pedalled". That was their concern.
Then the chorus began to be hollow. The song became noise. Even unenthusiastic people understood that there are big deals of guile; a big deal of capitalist commercial interest in all this. With their drugs, the NGO's and their sponsors proved it: they were not sincere. Money is the aim, therefore more important than the elimination or reduction of AIDS. Otherwise, why all the litigation against the democratization of anti-HIV drugs, especially in SouthAfrica? Why were nothing done against the behaviours and attitudes that distribute HIV?
Not that there is no AIDS or its syndromes. But that there is much less AIDS than there are consultants and consultancies about it.
When AIDS is decimating Africa, and at same time the populations of traditional nations (of which Africa is almost entirely made up) are exploding, Which is the fact?
In two cities in Nigeria recently, I keenly observed the campaigns against HIV-contraction. I even came close to participating in the campaigns.
Knowing that in this zone, most people expend their freedom doing what they have been informed not to do, I contemplated summarizing the words about AIDS, and applying it ironically in addressing people. I intended to ask them to get it. After that , I would their responses.
*1. AIDS (a syndrome, not a typical disease) is not yet curable.
*2. HIV (the AIDS' germ) is contracted majorly through promiscuous sexual intercourses; or, seldom, unpromiscuous intercourse with who already had it. Akin to promiscuity.
And minorly by other ways such as non-sexual trans-deposition of body fluids (phlegm, mucus, blood, serum et cetera). This may result from unaccountable (indiscriminate) use of injection-needles; violent kissing; ...and in the course of nursing an already infected person.
*3. Treatment is expensive and lasts for the rest of life.
*4. To avoid it, be faithful to your sex-partner
*5. Or have no sex partner at all (practice sex abstinence)
*6. There is no "safe sex"; there can only be "safe non sex".
*7. If you love your child, unborn or born, endeavour to avoid these avoidable things lest the child gets them from you.
Besides, through sexual fidelity, undesired children may never be conceived, let alone being born or aborted. So one would get an optimum of what one wants, and none or a minimum of what one does not want.
I wanted to tell people: now you've heard these and other things; you've seen some frightening sights of the consequences of AID syndrome; go ahead and acquire HIV! Because you get lost to AIDS by your lifestyle. Reasonable people will have to labour less since there will be less people to feed, clothe and house.
I discovered there was no need for that. It would have been against the aim of the core (professional or career )campaigners and the retro' drug dealers.
What's their aim? The entrenchment of HIV in people. AIDS-workers actually want people to get AIDS and develop the syndrome. Hohaa!
Although they talk against discrimination and stigmatization, they promote them. It is a strategy in the successful merchandising of their "retro viral stuff".
*In one youth Empowerment programme in Lagos, the primary requirement for admission is HIV test.
*In one big advert directed at youths and job seekers, the pre-requisite for application for whatever job there is is:you must be HIV-positive.
*One microfinance outfit that advertizes that it gives loans to people also says that it increases the loan and decreases its interest for HIV- positive applicants, even if the ones lack the skill to invest and manage the loan. This is plausibly a cover for some corrupt NGO-ism.
*Recently, two women: one pretty and her hefty colleague were appearing in a television station's broadcasts. They were boasting to their viewers that they were HIV-positive. They talked a lot. Of all they said, none was about how to avoid HIV. Instead, they preached condom and sexual promiscuity; that sexual promiscuity is natural; that animals practice it; that anti-retroviral drugs are available. In fact, they succeeded in glamorizing HIV and its syndromes. unfortunately, they did not tell how affordable those "available drugs" are.
Nearly 80 dollars per dose, those "available drugs" are simply out of the reach of 'ordinary' people. It may sound far-fetched. The fact is that 80 dollars is more than the equivalent of the monthly income of most South-of-Sahara Africans.
*I heard a woman advising some younger women not to "play it recklessly" because they may not be as lucky as she herself had been. HIV-positivity secured her a job with an NGO. Some other people had been denied that "job" for testing HIV-negative. Among her audience were university graduates (she herself was one) already getting fatigued in job search. Some of them "played it recklessly" severally to no avail. Indeed some were certified as graduates not for the refinement they have undergone in intellect and character, but because the "co-operated" with their anatomical endowments. Shortly afterward, two of them, speaking in Hausa, casually asked a question between themselves that was a statement of their wish: "Is it not better to get work or spouse even if HIV is entailed along, than continuing in this hopeless (jobless) condition?
*In one NGO- operated clinic, nearly all who entered for a test come out positive. That was the case until three of their clients courageously doubted that positive status. They re-tested in another clinic and were declared negative. Six months after, they were still negative. One of them, a man had malaria. One was pregnant and was delivered of a healthy baby in the six-month period.
It was discovered that, apart from deliberate fraud, some reagents in use in the NGO's clinic do react "positively" in malaria patients.
*A teacher in Ibadan sexually violated some of his female students. He got two of them pregnant. Interviewed, he stated that they wanted it and enjoyed. This was a school where posters, stressing the intimate connexion of sexual rascality with the acquisition of HIV, where posted everywhere.
One of the man's active defenders was a woman, a quasi-lawyer. And she too was an AIDS campaigner! The man has not been "disturbed by law enforcement since.
Again recently, in one of the sub-federal units (Ogun state) of Nigeria, some government officials were holding ceremonies, graced by their First Lady. They were distributing cash gifts to HIV-positive people. They were fighting against AIDS, a syndrome that results mainly by sexual unaccountability.
Whether they really cared about HIV-infected people or were playing NGO game to attract more donation funds into their private purses, the message was soundlessly thunderous: Citizens, you're not important to your government until you acquire immunity-deficiency virus, plus the consequent syndrome.
That state (Ogun) is among the most slummy (and swampy), pregnant with mosquitoes and roaches in Niegria. Its rural areas (90% constituency) are road-less, and under-schooled...Their young women do sneak into the near-by city of Lagos in droves to trade in sex. There is no "other projects" for them to profitably engage in. Farmers are neglected.
The youths are so di-enfranchised or mis-skilled economically.Yet the government's priority in fighting AIDS was the distribution of cash to relatives of its cronies tagged HIV positive
You can forever throw water at the flames. As long as the embers and the fuel are present, the fire'll continue; and burn disastrously.
Hordes of young women often brazenly besiege the 'hallowed' quarters of the male lawmakers in Abuja with all sorts of seduction tacts. The men, they say, are overmoneyed.
One of them in a conversation told how she got into the sex-hawking enterprise. "dem no dey gif you any-tin if you no sreep wi' dem. ( They will never do anything for you unless you sleep with them)," she said. She had worked as a barwoman in a tavern owned by a male lawmaker. Her monthly salary had been 4000 naira (about 33 dollars; not even enough for a dose of retro' drugs). then, one day she "agreed and visited" her employer... and was payed 30000 naira!
The man and likes of him know the needs of their workers very well. But they would pay more than 4000 naira per month to a good worker. For a night of sex, the moneyman would pay 30000 naira! And the acts included what they cal unprotected (naked) sex, accor'ng to one sick sex-trader.
Can you imagine what some of Their Excellencies, the exec governors do? Some women allow themselves to used as nightly companions or "hotel gifts" to the governors' IG's (important guests) and VIG's(very...).
What a generous welcome by fighters, including those who make laws on how to fight, against AIDS!
And the sexual assaults on detainees (in police cells; prisons) by detention wardens are unspeakably horrible.
A pharmaceutical storekeeper I knew once had to withdraw his wife from a College of Education. Why? She was "under pressure to co-operate" in order to get her graduation certificate. Other ladies in her set of graduands had "co-operated", some several times.
These lecturers (sex-turers)who mess with their female graduands before certifying them are undisturbed by law enforcement, even when the corruptness has come open.
The sister-in-law of my friend, Demas, was sacked from the bank where she worked, without reason. Demas nearly got himself jailed challenging the sacking. They accused him of "threatening" the bank manager's life when he requested for a vis-a-vis talk with the manager on his sister-in-law's sacking. In the course of time, the woman opened up and let us in on what happened in the couple of weeks prior to her job termination. The branch had wanted to recruit her in the hunt for big-moneyed politicians (public kleptomaniacs), "to get the men deposit their money here by all means womanly possible. No room for failure". When she complained that she is a wife and mother, the manager would not take it. "You cannot say that you're still a virgin," he kept telling her. Nor did he fail to attempt to take "the prize" himself if it won't be give to hefty depositors.
That sex-manager in the bank is not only undisturbed by law enforcement (laws against these kinds of corrupt practices are rarely enforced in Nigeria), but is also waxing stronger with his bevies of "co-operative" girls.
This is a bank whose Community Social Responsibilities includes AIDS awareness campaign for a change in sexual lifestyle!
Your god help you if you dare, like Dr. Jeremiah Abraka and the ex-president of the Gambia, say you have alternative way to deal with the AIDS-virus. You'd be demonised and vilified, although secretly you'll still have some of your clients.
AIDS is a fasionable disease; a glamorous syndrome! Congratulations!! AIDS and AIDS-people.
AIDS cannot be halted by commercial exploitation, NGO-ism and other ways that tend to enjoy themselves at people's calamities. If AIDS is such an emergency, then emergency (drastic) measures should be adopted and applied against it.
Moral and legal forces must be up and active, at least, to protect the "unco-operative people" such as the Ibadan students and the woman bank worker. Otherwise all the talk against AIDS et al malicious syndromes will be "church talk"; something done with great stage zeal but which fades into nothing outside the stage. War against AIDS should not be a career to be defended and maintained indefinitely without positive results. The results are even worsening. Some exploiters would want to keep a problem intact forever if that keeps them prestigious.
*Make and enforce laws that will entail arresting and punishing mis-users of sex and blood.
*One great irony, especially in Africa, is the pointlessness of 'saving' someone from AIDS, a gentle syndrome, only to butcher the one in the violence (wars)...
There is another factor that should not be ignored. People will always seek for what they want whether it is good or bad.
In some towns in Nigeria, almost everyone will be able to pass an examination in how to avoid AIDS. Yet anyone hardly practices that known 'avoid-AIDS' lifestyle. Some even pray to God to preserve and protect us from AIDS. I know that if it's the biblic God... they may never get a positive answer to such prayers...
If people want AIDS, no amount of AIDS drugs or campaign in the universe will prevent them from "seeking for and getting it", by all means. In this case, for the sake of freedom, I will say: after informing people, they should be allowed to choose their living: the benefits of principled liberty or the disasters of irresponsibility, provided that no one forces another unjustly.
Can we humans achieve everything including faithfulness to condoms, and not achieve just one: faithfulness to ourselves?

Nigerian Banks: Hood Of Hollowness
No panic yet; only alarms.
The consolidation of banks in Nigeria a couple of years ago weeded out the hollow ones, reducing the number of banks from 89 to 26, including the Central Bank. The consolidation was a term of raising the capital base of each bank to 25 billion (25 thousand million: about 200 million dollars) naira.
It was a success.
But it was achieved on the foundation of failure. The people whose attractive grammar but repulsive business conducts led to the hollowness of the former banks are still in charge. Within a few months after consolidation, one of the banks began re-collapsing; while some others were declaring stupendous profits!
Whoever had senses to perceive must have perceived it then: that the proceeds were largely phoney. Other aspects of the economy were shrivelling up. Those not shrivelling were stagnant. From what were the banks synthesizing their near-two hundred percent profits in less than a year?
A whistle should be blown against this falsehood being fed to the public. Several people did. Many of the banks are not funding concrete projects, or enduring profitable services. Instead, fair-faced, glamorous, women are employed to use their feminine sexuality to get kleptomanic politicians to dump huge chunks of their loots in most the banks (you dare not criticize the government in their premises). In fact, the most glorified harlots in the nation nowadays are female intermediaries between banks and government officials.
This, plus the inflated transactional bills charged on ordinary customers make up the bulk of the profits. Who says this is a genuine economic growth?
Many Nigerian banks are still wobbly. Recent report on them shows that of the 24, only 4 are standardly well; 17 are barely well; 3 are sick.
We hope they return not to the old status of hollowness.

Sudden: Good News From Nigeria
Unexpectedly. I was still exhilarated. A couple of days before this day (Nov. 18, 2008), there came a report that some Nigerian experts in rocketry had test-fired some rockets. This was certainly a rare and extra event to grace the newsfaces. The usual things had been: how some public minister embezzled some public resources; how some gun-goons abducted someones or somethings; and the like...This piece of new was unusual. I am very happy about it.
After the Fratricide of the late nineteen-sixties, Nigeria did not harness the technologic expertise of the conquered side, Biafra. Instead, the Nigerian state worked to curb technologic interest and astuteness, by force and by persuasion. Many talents wasted or drained away. Now that tech outlook is being re-awakened.
But an old man asked (me) a question I could not answer: "Na missile we go chop?" (Shall we feed on missile?) In otherwords, this kind of great feat ought to begin at agriculture, as was in the late USSR. Popularize (democratize) mechanized Agriculture; then use the proceeds, surplus after ensuring the feeding and sheltering of the people, in projects whose consequences are distant from the people's informal living.
Nonetheless, this was a good news...

Shitty City
*My stay in Lagos has taught me that Nigerians love disorder.Nigerians thrive in disorder. In the brief periods when things work orderly, some people get so irritated. What irritates them? They do their best to initiate cycles of disorder. No wonder any more: that Nigeria is a nation that progresses backwardly. Her governments and people, largely, haven't begun appreciating civilised order.
Thanks to the sentiment that prevented me from coming to Lagos with some pals from BurkinaFaso,Togo and Senegal.Used to rarity of violent crimes or criminal violence, they would have been overshocked at the "greatness" of Lagos, Nigeria. Here would be a place of unspeakable tribulations unheard-of in their serene native homes.
And nigerian Nigerians are 'fighting' corruptedness. Nicht wahr?! So it is. MMh-huhuu...If I were a bona fide Nigerian, I would be anxious. Not that the anticorruptionists may fail; but that they may succed. Because whenever they decorrupt this society, there'd be no more Nigeria! The nigerian-system is corruption itself. Corruption incorporated. The more one observes the Nigerian's ways and actions, the less one perceives of anything else than dishonesty, deception and arrogance. This society is probably incorrigible. Corruption is here not on visit but on denizenship.
Since I was disaccommodated (disemployed) in 2006, I've been surviving by scrounging (Recycling Business). It has not been scrounging in freedom. Lagos is a "criminopolis". Of course where there is "criminocracy", there must be criminopolis too. In fact, it would be fairly accurate to say that many Lagosians (especially young men + some young women) are criminals, employed or not. Some of'em simply delight in criminal activities, even when those activities would yield no fortune. Gardens of flower nurseries, roadside grass patches (early morn' raids) underpasses, refuse dumps et cetera are their harbours and ports. Even roadside (mechanic) workshops are rendezvous of local ruffians. It is difficult to exaggerate the criminal and corrupt tendencies of typical Nigerians here. Every type of evil in the world can be found here...in large measures.
You may think of police. You need to know how intimately interknitted the Nigerian police and crime are, for you to understand. You'll even pity honest people in the nigerian police force. Moreover, the "lords" of "our cities" especially Lagos, Onischa, Port'arcourt, Kano: are retired or retiring hoodlums. A creature that live(d) by biting never fails to bare its teeth even in death. These defece-liners groom, equip and defend the (younger) attckers in the crime business. They even emloy professionals (like lawyers) in safeguarding themselves from the veneer of law-and-order there is. Most law enforcement agents are under their dominion, not above...And some securitymen do exactly the opposite of that title; they are insecuritymen...That's one reason you, a common soul, dare not report criminals though they are everywhere; unless you're politically or financially"connected"; or above average. Otherwise you may be inadvertently advertising yourself to the daredevils..

WHY SHE {NIGERIA} NEVER BETTER
Our opponents are warms; I saw them in Munich.----Adolpf Hitler
She may never improve. Her governments are always uneducated; always illusionary; like a tribunal of thieves, hardly ever visionary. She was born (formed) with a character of mild, smouldering instability; unreliability. Her politics developed in and with that character. Then it added parasitism to its unstability. It became parasitic, sapping the vitality and livelihood of loyal citizens, breaking the hearts of its people.
Unloyal citizens 'progressed' because they spend the nation in building private, personal empires. They are the government or government-makers. They control(led) the land, almost everything, for their private ends; even ingeniously determining the economic status of loyal citizens, however creative or productive.
Then, again, it progressed (actually retrogressed) into what I may call filicidal cannibalism. It became carnivorous; working to abolish poverty by attempting, in different guises of policies, names, mottoes, slogans and jargons, to abolish the poor; so that the already oversated, over-regaled "few" (who now amuse themselves with founding of NGO's to take care of the poor) would continue to have the good material (even immaterial) things of living exclusively. Feeding the poor to the rich.
In the periods of obasanjoism, shagari-ism, babangidaism et cetera, the government consumed, or wasted the dignity, sufficiency and even life of the pepole. They gradually made honest work fruitless, while rewarding chicanery and criminality, always indirectly anyway; so much, until straightforward souls became an acute rarity in Nigeria. The government fed on the unprivileged while pretending to be feeding the unprivileged.
This reality is illustrated by the fact that some of the greatest Minds, Hearts and Hands we have in contemporary world history are (were) people who "wangled" or "strayed" from this savageland (Africa, Nigeria in particular). They developed further, being or having been recognized in the other societies. Had they remained here, they would have lived and died in wretched nothingness, in frustration. Their struggle to avoid, or be extricated from, ignorance and other conditions of this place that imprison and torture the mind must have beenthwarted.
Were corruption (corrupt living) a sentient being, and could speak, and gets asked about Nigeria...I think it would echo the words Mr Hitler thus: My opponnents are worms; they are worms! I see them swimming in my pool, in the squalid scum of my latrine!
In Nigeria, "warriors" against thievery and illegitimacies (conventionally named corruption) are either antitypical Nigerians (very, very few exist) or "paid actors". Nowadays Nigerians would worship, or better, pray to anything ... for monetary benefits, rather than apply their intelligence, talents and skills in positive creation and production; probably because it doesn't pay. They are creative almost only in lawless ventures. Politcking is one arena here where depraved souls can conveniently do unpatriotic things and be rewarded for them. There are exceptions!(the antitypical Nigerians).
The immediate past government, presided in by the whimsically despotic but sincerely amorous opportunist, Mr.Obasanjo, made sure that people suffer(ed); it worked hard to keep people in ignorance. Mr.Olusegun Obasanjo himself, behind a facade of eco-reforms, built, established and bequeathed (to) the 'land' a most elaborate system of thievery and robbery; direct and by proxies. And for nearly a decade, the bunch of talk-talkng, news-page politicians of his political party, did not produce any untainted visionaries and missionaries in any field of endeavour, upon whose grounds the future could be founded. Nor did they conduce "useful" vision and mission in other citizens. Instead: they, self-mesmerized in egoistic improvidence, gloried in the delusion of almight. They, sadistic in disposition, kept delighting and amusing themselves in the material and immaterial misery in the land, and at the impotent desperation of millions of decent people. Or how can we explain,...how could a government be so stupendously rich, and the people so shockingly, sickeningly poor? Certainly, psychologically blind rulers cannot have, or be in a mission for any vision.
This one (government) under Yarad's presidence came and began making sure that people hope. Realistic endeavours are not entirely framed on hope. There must be tangible or palpable aspects; things one doesn't need hope in order to see and conceptualise. He and his government looks on what people own or hopefully want to own, not on what people are: what I may call psycho-propensity. While indeed, What people are (inclinations of thoughts, feelings and conducts...) matter more than what they import.
People of Yarad's country generally do not want prosperity that means or includes social equity: Responsibilities and Rights and Goodwill by which 'everyone' lives with equitable responsiveness. They want to always 'de-responsibilise' their rights and powers (power without responsibility). And goodwill, goodwill is extremely scarce. Almost everyone looks for advantages to oppress or hoodwink others. The general operative philosophy seems: To grow big, swallow your neighbour. Of course this attitude has some historical roots.
In the past, while other peoples were inquiring into the "ways and actions of nature", the Negro, especially of Central and Western Afi-r(i)-Ka was busy peddling his brethren to foreigners. For centuries, chieftains and mightymen of Africa's Dark-Skin race sold their people away...for mirrors, little pieces of glittering metals, phials of ethanol et cetera...<*>>
Even at the present time, to understand more of the self-retardedness or self-stunting mentality of the Negro, share two cadavers between we negroid people of Nigeria, Afrika, and the non-negroid (caucasic) ones from across the seas. Say to each group: "Do what you freely like with your 'gift'". The Caucasoid would embark on the study of anatomy (and physiology)... The Negroid would embark on fetish ritualism...
Ask the remnants of the subjects of colonial rule...However bad it had been, most of the people would rather revert to that foreign colonial regime. Because with all its evils, that exploitation by foreigners is better, more endurable, than the ones by indigens now. At least they had judicial and law enforcement systems that punished legal (even moral) lawbreakers, and rewarded lawkeepers.
And think of the hypothetical situation where British and Irish people exchange native home territories with Nigerian people, each group retaining original mode of mentation, instrumentation and conduct(values). In the ambience of a generation, this man-made Naija-area of disorder would be enviably orderly and prosperous. If you have first-hand knowledge of typical Nigerians, their ways and actions, you'd be properly shock'd in advance at what London et al shall (have) become: a hopeless Lord-dom of social cruelty, rife with diseased and despairing victims of their "lords"; the lords being anyones with any advantage or means of destruction over others. People who are mild and meek in temperament, and upright in character would almost invariably live by waiting to die in disease and despair. They would hardly get any of the benefits that civilized freedom and governments (civilized society) bestow to civilized individuals, even if they are the greatest constructive contributors to the societal good.
From the grassroots to the treetops, there's so much nonsense in Nigeria, in Nigerians, that any structural or infrastructural reform would be rootless and fruitless. The change must come from within, but it's close to impossibility... There are factors here; factors of retrogression; factors that would never allow or let in socio-economic or socio-political improvement. Call it Nigerian Spirit or the Nnigerian FFfactor. And...The agents of this evil spirit are multiplying in number and in power....A sick one whose disease has symptoms or syndrome of sickness can less difficultly be diagnosed and treated, or cured than one whose great disease manifests symptoms of health.
Like people, like (their) government; a tree bears only its fruits. The state is sick; and the people are even sicker. The thing that's smelling the he-goat is in the he-goat's body.
A DEATH PLOT AGAINST AFRICA
There are somethings morally inconsistent, unintelligent, in the activities of some Non-Governmental Organizations in Africa. After saturating Africa with the noise of AIDS, a noise that is already becoming unimportant to a hungry and war-wearied continent, they turn to a more dangerous gamble. If they succeed, their prize would be the real destruction of Africa(ns).
Some NGO's are capitalizing on the gullibility of this continent, where most people and governments drink from what foreigners brought to them without first finding out whether it is water or urine. They are now telling the African mother that she is in bondage; to gain liberation, she has to kill her children, kill her babies babies without compunction.
I wonder about the kind of conscience these NGO agents have that the most prior need they perceive in the South-of-Sahara Africa is the democratization of abortion.
They come to such a country as Nigeria and lobby with hefty bribes, the lawmakers, most of whom are fake democrats who make policies for sale, or get money in advance of making them, to legalize abortion. They give it different names that sound all right while the intent is all wrong. This is attempting to enlarge an already large sore. Most African states are murderous, genocidally inclined. Why induce the African mother to partake in the silent aspects of this evil.
Many people would continue to avoid some evil if it cannot be perpetrated legally.
It is evil to obligate the African women, as poor as they are, to pay and kill their babies, in the name of Reproductive Health.
If you dispose of a dog and procure a monkey, you still possess a disposable nuisance. Talking about saving life and at same time enacting the termination of healthy pregnancies is morally inconsistent.
None of the things African women need is abortion. Abortion does not reduce maternal mortality; it has no positive effect on the women; it rather traumatizes them. Besides, it destroys the society which the NGO's insincerely seek to preserve. When the veneer of affection that the mother has for the fruit of her womb is removed just for commercial interest, a murderous society will emerge; then a dead society.
Where is the democratic decency here: you have freedom and you use it to destroy yourself and others including the most guiltless of souls? Is capitalism, based on buyers' demand, not in this way going to destroy the buyers?
What women of Africa need are food, literacy, economic skill (not the file-pushing things of celebs and government-harlots), protection from destructive violence, a positive change in the land tenure systems et sequens. We are poor because of many things. None of those things has to do with abortion. It is not because there is not enough abortion or enough use of condoms (all for the continuance of NGO's markets).
When the rights of unborn human babies to live is sidestepped for commercial gains, the essential value of Governmental Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations is voided.
That is why we rail against rulers of Africa. They waste the continent's resources on frivolities...their people waste in despondency.
I cannot be convinced that procuring abortion will increase a woman's income, keep robbers and rapists away from her, minimize government's extortion, reduce or remove her superstitousness, make her a choice-worthy corporate manager, and make her more satisfied with her life. I cannot.
Why not teach them how not to conceive when pregnancy is unwanted, in the first place? When people teach other people to kill their defence-less offspring as an enjoyment of liberty, they are destroying the essence of liberty. Murderers are not free.
Winfrey has demonstrated in SouthAfrica one of what should be done...
We know that innocence (the African woman is often referred to as traditional and innocent) is not freedom; but neither is guilt.
Liberation of women by abortion is an acute desecration of motherhood.
This kind of freedom is too untidy. I am against it.

Terror's Terror
ON GLOBAL TERRORISM: Global terrorism is an outspark of superpowers' activities.
There are psychologic origins, apart from chronologic ones. But many latent terrorists (almost everyone) would not act beyond resentments, unless pressed too hard; what Mr. Bin Laden had called "desecrative injustice".
Americans and some others are guiltless victims of terrorist acts. It has always fared like that: equip some proxies to terrorize others, and you will almost inevitably be terrorized after the othewrs. Potential friends are always potential enemies, especially in human sociopolitical affairs.
USA improvidently leased weapons to potential enemies in the trend of the Cold War days.
True, state-less murderers and arsonists (now symbolized to the USA and W Europe by the name Bin Laden or al-Qaeda) have to be stopped; just as state-centred figures of murder and destruction such as Hitler, some of the Khans of Mongolia et cetera had had to be stopped. But it seems the web will always be reconstructed, in different fashions anyway, if the webmaker (spider) is not removed. The webmaker in this case is not the terrorist, but the actions and inactions that activate him.
In (North) Nigeria, I have observed the ways of those often engage in violent lawlessnesses and indecencies in the shroud of religious faith. I have noticed five things, primarily, at the root of religio-fanatic aggressions.
1* Differences in civilizational outlook (ideo-political values)
2* Collective jealosy
3* Socio-economic injustice persistent distributional and relational inequity)
4* Easy access to weapons
5* Brainwashed (massively ignorant, insular) populace or followers
Almost all of the actors and reactors of terrorism profess islam, though their target are always non-muslims.
But there is still the fact that Islam does not inhere terrorism. Just that some of its teachings appeal to, and provide cover for, the egoism of murderous minds with pseudo-religious loyalty. The same holy book (Quran) that contains the verse: "...there is no authority of infidels over muslims..." (Quran 4 : 41), implying that shar'ah has 'right' to try, convict and condemn one (unbeliever) in its court where the one can never be appointed a judge or jury also contains the verse: "...la kum din kum waliy adin..." (your religion is for you; mine is for me). In otherwords the problem may not be in the faith; not even in the regions, but in the people.
I am neither pro-Islam nor contra-Islam. What I am trying to do is understand why or how a system that inspires such lofty ideals of brotherhood is also the "constitution for mass(ive) destruction".
In Kano, for example, there are quarters or corners where ordinary Bible-thumber (whether genuine or opportunistic christian) would not enter and come out in one piece, even if his or her mission is vital to the musulum.
In Ouagadougou and Ouahigoya in BurkinaFaso, and in Senegal, one can play, paln, work with, and even recline among devout musulims without any threat whatsoever, physical or psychological, from any of them. Is Kano more islam-ful than those other places? Senegal's peoples are nearly all musulims.
But I am also endeavouring to understand why: while many people were mourning their relatives, horrifyingly rendered lifeless in 9-11 (September 2001), many other people trooped out dancing and prancing on behalf of the same horror. But even harmful desires need spark; they need conducement to become practical reality. These other people, had they been barely tolerating the USA before the tragedy ( would they have partaken directly in perpetrating the attack); or were they mis-informed, brain-washed, mass of human beings without personal conviction on the matter?
Is it that the USA and her ideo-social colleagues give too much rights to frivolous things and too little to what matter to other peoples on this earth? Americans campaign for the freedom and rights of all sorts of individuals, groups and other things ; even those (same-gender sex or matrimonial partners) in whose way the human race will cease to exist, non-violently, deliberately, in the next few generations. Yet a Socialist or a Marxist, let alone a Communist, has no open place in America. There are things America and her allies will react against with even greater vehemence than those outside their ideologic circle, including the terrorists, would do. Some of the "rights" in America constitute sacrilege to some other peoples. But they keep pushing them on others.
Is it that some multinationals issuing out of America et al (USA is not a lazy nation) are mere corporate brigands whose liaison with gullible, corrupt governments often render people inaffectionate, uncharitable, toward America? USA welcomes the largest number of immigrants on earth. But which immigrants? Are they not the ones whose home blood America and other groups use as blocks in building themselves? If not through financial systems, it's through environmental exploitation. These "corporate bodies" or multinationals begin by raising the hope of indigens; then they suspend them in frustration while their native environment (livelihood) are being plundered or polluted.
Is it that America diminishes the goodwill of harmless people by brazenly pursuing "her interests", harassing and calumniating some popular and legitimate governments just for not being subserviently aligned to her?
Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Cuba,...
You do not expect victims of your roughness to be sympathetic when you get hurt.
Is it that America, under "democratization cover" is filling the world with abstract and formalistic democracies that are, in practice, indistinguishable from tyrannic oligarchies?
Although, globalized terrorism sprouted from superpowers' impudence, it is not against the superpowers only.
I am still wondering, remotely, whether it is not possible that the internet and other supersystems of global communication...will not collapse someday at the hands of (cyber)terrorist...

The New Negro
PROFILE OF THE NEGRO
Race is deeper than physique. It is more profound than the surface characteristics of the major species of humankind. In my study and observation of the intelligence, character and temperament (ICT) of black people, better the zoologic or anthropologic nomenclature: NEGRO people, I once thought that the Negro is very intuitive, superiorly equiped with instictual faculty for choosing the best option in living. Now, I do not think so again. Instinct is not knowledge. At best it's pseudo-knowledge programmed in against absolute blankness of mentation. It is a pale script below mental frame. It has no tablature. And instinct cannot be retrieved in advance of event. A particular instinct is unknown except in exposure to stimuli, unlike knowledge (and information) the basis of voluntary wisdom. With this in mind, I do evaluate the way Negroid peoples undertake, or have undertaken, some of the unique-yet-universal human endeavours and activities; and the emotions contained in them. Historically and topically; comparingly and contrastingly.I lifted some fact from the works of Historian F.K.Buah and from some old and experienced natives. Plus the Bible.
Literature
I am not certain that ancient Egypt was a pure Negro empire. But it was at least somewhat Negroid(Genesis 10: 1-20; Chronicles 1: 8-16). It is assumable that the Negra race is an outgrowth of that ancient society. The Egytian state and elites knew astronomy. They knew of numbers and letters. And they trained the guest race, the Hebrews. Yet the Egyptian state did not democratize this vital knowledge throughout the millennia it lasted. It were the Jewish Hebrews who universalized literacy and numeracy among themselves, so well that they talentedly recorded virtually every facet of their living. Amhara of Kush or Axxum was kept like a secret from the populace. Zimbabwe and Mapungubwe left no written record. Karthage (Carthage), ancient Ghana and Dahomey left no literary testimony too. Songhai's testimonies were in Arabic, the lingo of her conquerors. The Negro was not concerned about generalizing literary knowledge.
Aquatic adventure
African Negroes could access water like non-Negroes (Caucasians et cetera) as Africa is surrounded by water like other continents. Yet our knowledge of the oceans: their sizes, depths, occupants (hydro-biologues)...came and continues coming to us from the Caucasic and the Mongoloid peoples; nearly none from the Negro. The Negro, as a race, was natively un-interested in venturing into Waters.
Terrestrial Ventures
The lithospheric shapes and sizes of our earth were registered in mankind's cognizance by non-Negroid races. In elementary school, our teachers told us of how the bright-skinned foreigners climbed any mountains, swam through any rivers, and traversed any valleys on their way to our town. And one of them climbed a mountain whose name sounded like my classmate's name: Everestus. Their chief, a woman, celebrated that adventure. These sounded queer, even pointless, to us kids then. How could a king or queen be celebrating just because a man climbed a mountain? Afterwards, I heard of Victoria Falls; of Kilmanjaro; of Livingstone; of Powell et cetera...
The biggest surprise came when these bright-skinned, ghostly foreigners arrived in our town with huge, noisy machines. They climbed some of our mountains and, using their machines, began digging up masses of curiously coloured materials. Those mountains had been sacrificial places and evil wildernesses (Ajo agu in native tongue) before.
Although the mountains and forests had fascinated me and a couple of other kids, adults then used all sorts of intimidation, physical and psychological (stories of dreadful things) to cage our curiosity. Nowadays, some of the strongest houses in the town were built or roofed of materials from the bright-skinned foreigners' companies. Why hadn't we indigenes dug beneath the mountains' surface before foreigners came and did? Because the Negro is terrestrially over-contented. In fact, the geologic features of his environment elicit worshipful, rather than, investigative or utilitarian curiosity. That's the Negro, the Negro race.
Wars
The Negro fought wars mainly around his neighbourhood, and only for the domination of his Negro neighbours. At most distant, his stage of martial adventures were usually within the radius of hundreds of kilomtres from his power base. And he never went beyond formidable barriers such as huge mountains or wide rivers. Caucasic Aryans were the ones who came and taught the Negro, militarily anyway, that the world is larger...
The typical Negroes were not mentally expansive.
Religio-Ideological
None of the political, religious or philosophic ideologies of the Negro transcended his borders (African frontiers). I think same is true of Negroes in other lands. Any Negro-originated ideologic stuff that circulated beyond his domain, did so not by the wilful intention of the Negro. Instead, the Negro constituted himself a receptacle for the near-ceaseless loads of foreigners' thoughts. Some of these are practically superior to the Negro's equivalent (Medical practices); others are convoluted dross.
In some African Negro communities, the principle and practice of democracy was native though miniaturish, before foreigners intrusion. Internationally, democracy in its best definitions, is viewed as having come solely from ancient Greeks.
The Negro is natively un-missionary.
Slavery
Slavery is a dominant part of human history. There is no legend or written record of extra-racial enslavement by the Negro, of other peoples. The Negro has ever been the slave, never the enslaver, even where the would-be enslaver was numerically insignificant. The Negro enslaved only his brethren. In fact, historically, Slave Trade boomed mainly because Negro chieftains and mightymen eagerly peddled their brethren, not only among themselves, but also, and majorly, to foreigners.
Why?
Could the Negro ever trade in Aryan or Mongoloid people through the aid of Aryan or Mongoloid chieftains? If mankind were a ranch, other races are lions, tigres et sequentia. The Negro is the antelope of the human ranch. Not that he is faultlessly harmless. The negro is carnivorous too, only he has a singular preference for members of his kindred. Probably because he cannot work on others; can only work under them.
The Negro is a predator that preys only on his own kind.
Science
The Negro is neither intellectually nor emotionally curious enough to seriously question nature and its Architect (God). Almost ev'rything is shrouded in worshipful secrecy, or is unquestioningly accepted. This is typicalised in most of the medical practices of the Negroes before the arrival of missionary foreigners. I ascertained this from a long story I heard from a long-lived old man in 1990. (He fell asleep in 1991 at the age estimated at 130 years). History books have no names of Negro personalities who became recognizable scientists or technologists on African soil. There were no expansible or reproducible output of information from systematized studies of the working principles of nature from Negroes.
Ancient Greeks who, according to records, became some of the most inquisitive thinkers in human history seemed to have gotten their spark from Af'i-R-Ka, the native land of the Negro. The Negro tottered between enlightenment and obscurantism. Till today, he has not been able to choose either clearly. He remains un-inventive, though he matches his un-inventiveness with what I may call psycho-stolidity. Nature's gifts to Africa are being improportionately processed (and utilized) by non-Negroes. In this way, the will of the African is secondary to that of the foreigners in the African's primary abode. Natively, the Negro is not (very) scientific.
Global Affairs and Networks
The emotional amplitude and wavelength of the Negro is also stunt and retarded. One need no intensive search or research to perceive this. It's glaring and blaring. Consider: Global capitalism is affecting the whole world. The Africans are being particularly affected seriously. But they do not show registrable concern. Or they are concerned only about the little crumbs that can be gleaned from capitalists. It were the children of the very motivators of globalisation that weigh and voice out its disadvantages and advantages on behalf of the Negro. Some protesters against the victimization of native Africans of the South of Sahara at a G8 assembly were almost entirely non-Negro. Yet the Negro chieftains jog-trot national capitals of the world and venues of high-profile diplomatic gatherings, only to return to their slummy home countries, like picnickers.
Native African Negroes are interested mainly in consuming ready-mades. Future or no future, environment or no environment, do not matter much to them.
If you have been to embassies and observed ambassadorial actions, reactions and inactions, you would more easily understand that the Negro is emotionally dwarfish, compared to non-Negro. Caucasic and Mongoloid peoples are confident of their state authorities represented by their embassies. Their governments exist for them, and they, for their governments. Sometimes, in troubled zones, their government risk lots of resources, including humanbeings (rescuers), for securing their nationals. Not so with the Negro. I've seen some stranded Nigerians supplicating for aid at foreign (Italian, Spanish, Korean) embassies while their nations chief diplomat resides a couple of houses ahead. I heard later that the ambassador had regarded them as nuisance, and had given them a map of where to seek for help. The map "directed them to nowhere".
And what about international donations? The Negro has become an everlasting baby; everyyear-infant, ever sucking at the breasts of international charities and donor organizations. Some governments in Africa (for examples: Sesse Seko's Zaire, Nigeria ...) have always been able to break loose of this yoke, but would not. Disasters at home usually become opportunities for intellectually and emotionally short Negro officials to make huge, obscene, wealth suddenly for themselves while continuing to appeal to foreign donors to donate more relief.
Negroes are not emotionally united. I'm speculating, on observation, that uniting Negro hearts may be close in difficulty to dis-uniting a body of water. Do you know what this means? That the Negro probably cannot be profoundly political among themselves. Indeed, modern politicking among Negroes testifies to this. Real politics is minor in his politicking.
After political independence, from colonizers, virtually all Negro leaders became unconscionable thieves and tyrants, creating the question: What really motivated the so-called nationalists to work and talk toward political sovereignty? It's discernible now that the aims were not free societies, composed of free and responsible individuals. These indigenous lords are lording it harsher over their brethren than did foreign lords. The typical Negro is more a criminal being than a political one, at least in this present global dispensation. His politics is more of bribery and coercion than it is of Convention-of-opinions. Aboriginal Africans make few or no weapons of high sophistication; certainly none of extensive lethality. But see, Africans compete with, and often outuse, the makers and other peoples of such weapons. Not in keeping dangerous, wild creatures, at bay, but mostly in reducing themselves into cold and lifeless pieces of meat and bones. Between 1960 and 1995 (or 2000), more than half of the dozens of officially arranged massacres that happened on the surface of the earth happened among Negroes of Africa. Several are continuing.
What were achieved?
Unlike other peoples who refer, research, remember and re-control or forbear, Afro-Negroes do not. They achieved the loss of more and more of their collective self-control. And now, after political (formal and ceremonial) independence, they have replaced apartheidism of colonial fore-time with grievous crimes. Most of these crimes they call politics. The keen observer and note-taker of humanbeings and their affairs, Blair (Orwell), who wrote Animal Farm accurately described Africans in Africa, probably without intending to. And others.
Come to the major cities south-of-Sahara Africa and see. Risk your safety to some extent, and you'd observe that while magnates and adventurers from among other peoples are globalizing their economic and social ventures, the typical Negro (by psychologic make-up) on African soils is intensifying his criminality and fetishism, diabolic ritual murdering included, for wealth. Some of these cannibalistic carnivores do next-to-nothing productionwise. Most are graduates from shools. They fill nearly all their needs by devouring their vulnerable neighbours.
Superstition may be global. But most people who received enlightenment relented in it; except the Negro, I think. If Markus Garvey, W.E.B.DuBois, Bob Marley, CarMichael Stokey and a host of other people were to be brought back to living now, they'd most probably be woefully disappointed at what Negroes are doing and feeling to themselves nowadays. It is a big reversion.
I know of one educationist (enlightener), who for his love for dark-skinned Africans, gave up prestige and privilege, and came to live and work in Nigeria. For nearly two decades, he laboured among them, brightly illuminating their minds. But they refused to be illuminated. When some were just about getting the light, the very people who claim to be educated conspired and forced him out dishonourably. Why? Because they wouldn't bear or endure his straightforwardness; they in their inclination to crookedness.
The Negro lacks the psycho-emotional capacity to say the words and do the deeds straightforth. Toure of Guinea said that liberty supercedes wealth (poverty in freedom is better than riches in slavery). Great sentiment! but nowadays the Negro is steeped not only in bondage, but also in poverty and insecurity. Political independence did not bring political security. And the enveloping poverty is not only material; it is also spiritual and emotional. That's why Black Empowerment Programmes (especially in post-Apartheid SouthAfrica) often failed or achieved far below the aimed purpose. Not because of the inefficiencies of its agents but also because of the tendencies of the Negro.
You need not advertise intensively to keep the Negro at your commercial whims. Just boost his ego a bit (bywords or material tokens). He's naturally an unquestioning consumer. That's, he neither questions himself nor his supplier, in the real sense, concerning his way of consumerism. Marketers, especially foreign ones know this. And they capitalize on it.
An Analysis of the modus operandi and modus vivendi of the Nigeria Delta militants depicts that the militants' aim is not socio-political change or socio-economic betterment. They dread such changes. Their aim is, or has become, "the 'millionairizing' of themselves". There may still be sincere ones among them. But their shout of 'socio-economic marginalisation', 'environmental degradation' are descriptions of realities employed as a political cloak for banditry. Cultism and warlordism are the shapes of things.Of course, the bandits are first of all Negroes; then Nigerians. They have similar charcteristics as the Nigerian state; and some of their patrons are in the Niherian governments. Were it the Caucasic Aryans, the economy of the Nigeria Delta must have become brightly different in less than half of these dozen years.
Remember the LRA in Uganda, and similar things in diverse parts of Africa? The war-chiefs do not actually want such wars to end. They benefit financially from them though their people are being consumed, devoured!
Nowadays when imitationism has come to rule the hearts of most people, Negroes are champion imitators. They imitate everything: from the way other people eat to the way they defecate. They imitate but do not internalize the values and the technicalities of what they imitate. That's why in most of Africa, especially south of Sahara, democracy has become mere election-ritual through which unaccountable governments spring up; that's why (in cities) people pay more and more security levies and taxes, yet keep getting more and more insecure; that's why O.P.C (Oodua Peoples' Congress), supposed to be a security militia, armed to protect the populace, has turned to be of the deadliest criminal associations; that's why the police (of Nigeria for example) now compete with brigands in violating human liberties; that's why constitutions are excellently formulated but reversely (oppositely) implemented in most of South-of-Sahara africa; that's why many law officials preach human rights and at same time abuse their privilege as law officers. I think these are parts of the fundamental WHY AfriKa, the cradle of civilization, is still in the cradle.
Africa's former "Guests" are now her "Hosts". They now swim in the waters like fish; fly in the air, even in airless space, like birds. They can now create or eliminate certain kinds of diseases at will. They now do a lot on earth and away from earth. They now create "inanimate brains", what the enlightened wizard would designate "functional dead mind"; and not only retrieve, but also store information in them. And they set order (or disorder) in society accor'ng to what they please. They are in control...The Cradle of all this is ensconced in the cradle. Not incredible!? That is the Negro, the Negro race.
I heard of a Nigerian troublemaker (probably a sincerely unfortunate victim: different reporters gave different reports) docked down from a plane of British Airways in March 2008. He sued the BA to British court. I said,"U-uhuua-a! Yes! He's eating boiled eggs and drinking sterilized milk: all from other peoples cows and fowls...Were it with Nigerian Airways, would he challenge the Nigerian authorities and still be physically safe (unless he's of the "untouchables") let alone going to, or appearing in court? Can he disclose such amounts of money to typical Nigerians as he did to Britons and still safely be the owner? He must know he can't be safe even at the hands of security personnel. And where is Nigeria in Air Transportation?"
There are exceptions or exceptionals among the Negroes. There have always been. But certainly, vast majority of the Negro people are, by native intellect, neither scientific nor mystical; barely philosophic and economic.Because the typical Negro has no god at all (nothing to live and die for, or live and live and die by in any form: cultural values, economic interests, religio-political ideology, moral philosophy et cetera) he does not live for anything, spiritually; and does not die for anything. Whatever gives him egoistic or material convenience for the present becomes enough and alright for him.Though the Negro may be able to learn, as for now, this is of the heart of the Negro Race.
